DM – Direct Message

DM is a term for the messages in the private Twitter inbox.

ELI5 – Explain like I'm 5 (years old)

F2F – Face to face

Example: "I want to talk F2F with you"

FaTH – First and Truest Husband

FaTH refers to someone one cares about.

FBF – Flashback Friday

A hashtag used for sharing some moments from the past.

FBO – Facebook official

FBO is a relationship status on Facebook.

FF is a theme used for recommending to follow somebody on Twitter.

FOMO – Fear of Missing Out

FTW – For the win!

FUTAB – Feet up, take a break

GG – Good game

MCM – Man crush Monday

MCM is used in situations when somebody wants to post something about known male people in a positive way.

MT – Modified tweet

This acronym is used on Twitter to modify a tweet from another person in case it being too long.

Example: "I agree with this! MT: @callingaction"

MTFBWY – May the force be with you

A quote from the Star Wars media franchise used to wish someone luck.

Example: "You have a job interview today? MTFBWY, man".
NM – Not much

NSFW – Not safe for work

Example: "This game is R-rated. It's NSFW"

NVM – Nevermind

OMG – Oh my God

OOTD is often used as a hashtag.

ORLY – Oh really?

OTP – One true pairing

POTD is one of the hashtags used to draw attention to the pictures.

PM – Private message

Much like Man Crush Monday, this acronym is used to pay tribute to certain women.

Example: "I love Britney Spears #WCW?"

WDYMBT – What do you mean by that?

WOTD – Word of the Day

A hashtag used to highlight a certain word.

Example: "Just found out what procrastination means #WOTD"
YMMV – Your mileage may vary

YOLO – You only live once

YSK – You should know
