According to Netcraft's August 2020 Web Server Survey, there are 1,230,576,586 websites in the world. Crazy, isn't it? For the last 12 years, the number of sites on the global web multiplied 8 times. But above all those websites there are some with a higher rank that are familiar to almost every Internet user.


We decided to find out what are TOP 10 websites and which one is the most popular site on the web? To create our new video we used the rating provided by Alexa.com.
Gone are the days when the struggle was for followers, the time has come for a struggle for reach. The more you increase your coverage on Instagram, the more fans or potential buyers on your page.

The list of most popular websites (in order of appearance):

Google.com – there is probably no one left on Earth who's never heard of Google. It's the most used search engine on the World Wide Web across all platforms.

Facebook.com – is the biggest social network in the world with over 2.7 billion monthly active users.

Yahoo.com – is an American web portal that provides search engine, e-mail service and other related services.

YouTube.com – it's the biggest free video-sharing website that has 2 billion logged-in monthly users.

Windows Live – is a discontinued brand-name for a set of web services and software products from Microsoft.

Wikipedia.org – is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world.

Baidu.com – is a very popular Chinese search engine which works in a similar way as Google.

Blogger.com – is a blog-publishing service that allows multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries.

MSN.com – is a web portal and related collection of Internet services and apps for Windows and mobile devices, provided by Microsoft.

Yahoo.co.jp – is basically a Japanese version of Yahoo.com. It's originally formed as a joint venture between the American internet company Yahoo! and the Japanese company SoftBank.

Blogspot.com – is a subdomain to access blogs hosted by Blogger.com.

QQ.com – is a Chinese instant messaging software service and web portal.

Twitter.com – is the biggest 'microblogging' system that allows you to send and receive short posts called tweets.

Amazon.com – is an American multinational website that focuses on e-commerce.

Live.com – is a URL used by Microsoft for their Outlook.com and OneDrive products.

Taobao.com – is a Chinese online shopping service and the world's biggest e-commerce website according to Alexa.com.

Reddit.com – is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website.

Tmall.com – is a Chinese-language website for business-to-consumer online retail.

Sohu.com – is a China-based online media, search and game service company.
